Success Story of an IAS Officer “Ansar Shaikh”
ansar shaikh story

Ansar Shaikh was born in 1995 in Jalna, a small village in Maharashtra in a very poor family. When he was studying the 4th class it’s been very difficult for their family to arrange 3 meals a day.

Then his father made a decision and went to his school and said to the teacher that his son won’t come to school from tomorrow. His father said, if he starts working from tomorrow then he can earn some food  to eat. Then the teacher urged him and requested him and made sure he didn’t remove that kid from studying in school.

Whenever there is a holiday for school, Ansar Shaikh goes to the nearby hotel and works there from 5 am to 10 pm. Because he needs money to buy food. He completed the 10th and inter 1st year. He is trying very hard to read.

Situations were not good for him. They get some money from the government through below poverty line scheme. When he went to get that money one officer asks 10% bribery. They gave Rs.3000 bribery. He thinks in a situation to think about Rs. 30 we had to give Rs. 3000. He doesn’t understand. Then he thought to become a good officer.

He asked his teachers in his college what should he does to be a good officer. Then he said we have UPSC services which means IAS. The teacher said it’s very difficult. Then Ansar Shaikh thought to dream big it doesn’t cost any. Then he decided to be an IAS officer.

He went to Pune and studied at Pune’s unique academy. Because he was Muslim no one given room to him. He searched so many and he got room finally when he said his name is Shubham and  he was Hindu. His younger brother stopped studying and started working in a car garage.

He used to send some savings. He used to remain without food for 2-3 days as his financial condition was very poor. He studied very hard in the light shades of the lamp.

Finally, He Reached his Goals

He finally completed a degree and next he attended UPSC exams. And next in his first attempt at  a very young age, 21 years he became an IAS officer. He is Ansar Shaikh. He created history in India becoming the youngest IAS officer. His hard work and his goals introduced him to this world. He said it’s my responsibility to remove poverty and bribes.

One does not need a good background, good surroundings or anything else. One should have determination and confidence. Every person can do. “ our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”
